I love the freedom and uniqueness biomorphic forms and abstractions offer.

Organic shapes and lines.

Texture and contrast.

Movement and simplicity.

My hope is that each sketch brings a bit of playfulness and whimsy to mind and that a moment to contemplate the uniqueness and simplicity of each piece is offered up to you!

Meditate. Enjoy. Perhaps Chuckle!

I grew up around art. My grandparents and great aunts were artists. I studied art in college. I taught art and design for many years. However, until recently, I rarely sought to put my own works out on display.

Most of my work has been based in realism (see my older works). Then in 2018, after retirement and a five-year hiatus from doing anything artistic, I became inspired by my oldest son, who is an artist living in LA. I decided to jump back into painting. I also decided, almost arbitrarily to work abstractly and with geometric patterns.

My other inspiration came from reading about quantum theory, astrophysics, and the universe. The images that I have been producing are not designed to graphically illustrate or represent specifics in those fields. Rather, they are meant to be symbolic of and pay tribute to the constantly evolving concepts that are revealing an amazing existence, the universe in which we live. I should also say that I have had a lot of fun doing them.
